Davos, Graubünden / Grisons, CH

Lying at an elevation of 1,560 metres above sea level, Davos is the highest city in Europe with over 10,000 inhabitants. Along with St. Moritz, Davos is one of the oldest and most renowned Swiss Alpine resorts. In winter, the town itself offers numerous distractions such as ice skating, toboggan runs, curling and sleigh rides, while its ski resort includes more than 90 ski slopes and 269 km of downhill runs. In summer, visitors can have their pick from 700 km of hiking trails and countless activities such as biking, golfing and waters sports on Lake Davos. In addition to its renown as a holiday destination, Davos has become famous as the host of the World Economic Forum, which takes place each year in January.
